I saw something similar on a Smarties Peanut box. It said "This product contains peanuts". I would hope so!
It's a funny thing, but I'm not sure cashews are nuts! Technically speaking. (http://www.thenutfactory.com/kitchen/facts/facts-cashews.html) The packaging probably has to do with the law, which may not make obvious distinctions.
