OMGWTFBBQ!

I just looked - I mean, really looked - at the calendar. And I'm leaving for Sock Summit in two weeks!

Which means that in three weeks, it's all going to be over. All the build-up of the last 6 months. It's going to be worse than any post-show letdown, I'm sure! (Fortunately, all those years doing community theatre have taught me many coping skills in that regard. Mostly involving beer, 'tis true, but...so?!)

But in the meantime...there are going to be cyber-friends in Real Life, and so much yarn, and maybe a world record, and banners on the streetlamps, and the rock-stars of the Knitterati, and it is going to be So. Much. FUN!

And I have sooooo much knitting to finish between now and then! I wonder if I could convince work to give me a few more days off.....

I am VERY sad that I won't be able to go to the Sock Summit. I wanted to meet you and Ms. So Now What and Rabbitch, among others! The yarn would have been nice too, but it was the social aspect that would have been my reason for going. Ah well. I hope you all have an absolutely fab time! Take lots of pictures and I hope there's a giant blog post at some point after you all get back!

Tell work that you have a family emergency which will last for two weeks, get your knitting done, and get ready to meet ALL of us. For we are all knitting glitterati.

Even cuntweasels like me and Rabbitch.

I know you are busy with the knitting and such, and memes can be such silly things. However, I tagged you for an award on my blog anyway, since your blog always makes me smile. Have fun at the Sock Summit!

Okay, I'm just so old.

And very jet-lagged. But I can't figure out the BBQ of your title. Unless, of course, it really IS BBQ, in which case, carry on then.

I am sad not to be going to the sock summit. I was sure I was going and then this trip to Europe took all my days and cash. I hope there's another one next year.
