End Radio Silence

Whew! I'm sitting down with a much-deserved bottle of Strongbow, after a loooong work-a-day, and an especially...ummm...interesting...ride home on the bus...But I'm not here to tell you about either of those.

I have been a busy, busy Quimby of late, trying to get the last of my House Cup homework finished before next week's deadline. And, I am happy to report, I just "handed in" my last project. Which, incidentally, is largely the reason for my recent disappearance from the innernets. I have been knitting, and knitting, and knitting. Literally, hours every night. I've knit through the last 3 seasons of Stargate Atlantis (how cheesy was that ending?!), and a season and change of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

All for this:

Print o' the Waves stole, in mmmmmMalabrigo sock (Persia). Want to see more?

It's deliciously drapey, and all manner of shiny loveliness. I am totally planning tomorrow's outfit to go with it.

Now that I've re-emerged from my cave, and had a look around at the outside world...I've come to realize that I can't wait for my birthday. Yes, it's months away. But it's just about this time that this comes out. Squee!

Wow - that is gorgeous! I'd disappear for ages to make something like that too. Glad you're back.

That's really lovely...nice work, nice holes in the lace, sometimes in lacey patterns the holes are uneven but these are perfect... very even and must by very drapey...

It's spectacular! I could never make something like that! And if I ever did, you'd have to put me in an institution, babbly the pattern over and over again. Maybe that's what the Strongbow is for?

Welcome back!

Stunning! And out of Malabrigo - I bet it feels as lovely as it looks.
